In the countries of Central Asia and the CIS, as well as in developed countries, non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is one of the diseases that is of great importance in the structure of morbidity and mortality of the working age population. The leading role in the treatment of NAFLD is played by lifestyle changes, primarily a change in dietary culture, consistent and gradual reduction in body weight, as well as its maintenance, since without this, effective correction of this disease is impossible using only pharmacological agents. The qualitative and quantitative composition of the diet, the level of physical activity and, most importantly, the regularity of all lifestyle changes are the key to the successful management of patients with NAFLD. This article describes changes in diet and physical activity that have been implemented and recommended by the world's leading research centers.
