EVALUATION OF THE EFFECTIVENESS OF HAL-RAR AND LHP SURGICAL APPROACHES IN THE TREATMENT OF HEMORRHOIDS
Abstract
Hemorrhoids are among the most common diseases in coloproctology, accounting for approximately 40% of all pathologies in this field [16]. The high prevalence of hemorrhoids necessitates the use of minimally invasive surgical techniques. Minimally invasive techniques, such as HAL-RAR and LHP, have gained particular importance in modern clinical practice due to their low postoperative pain intensity and their ability to facilitate early functional recovery and a rapid return to patients’ usual daily activities. HAL-RAR is a method based on the dearterialization of hemorrhoidal nodes with subsequent mucopexy under ultrasound Doppler guidance. The LHP technique involves tissue vaporization using a laser beam, which minimizes damage to the skin and mucosa of the anal canal [17]. This study aims to conduct a comparative analysis of the effectiveness of these two organ-preserving methods for treating grade III hemorrhoids.
