Abstract

A study of the Fergana Valley showed that by the end of 2020, the registration of cancer patients was 26,405 people with malignant neoplasms. The highest prevalence of malignant neoplasms was in the Namangan region (0.32%), in Andijan (0.21%), and in the Fergana region (0.28%). Among all patients with esophageal cancer registered with the OOD by the end of 2020, 63% were rural residents, although rural residents account for 48-49% of the population. This difference may be explained by the presence of risk factors such as nutritional deficiency and low socioeconomic status.
