CLINICAL MANIFESTATIONS OF ACUTE APPENDICITIS AND APPENDICULAR PERITONITIS IN CHILDREN

Diagnosis of acute appendicitis is the most important problem of paediatric surgery. The aim of the work: to study the clinical symptomatology of this disease and its complications in children. The case histories of 555 patients with acute appendicitis were analysed, including 187 patients with peritonitis and 55 with appendicular infiltrate. Clinical symptomatology was studied in detail in 52 children with peritonitis. The peculiarities of pain syndrome, fever and vomiting in children depending on the prevalence of peritoneal inflammation were revealed.
