IMPROVING THE TREATMENT OF HERPES IN DENTAL PRACTICE USING A COMPLEX THERAPEUTIC APPROACH

Abstract

Herpes infection (popularly known as herpes) is a group of infectious diseases caused by the herpes virus. There are many types of this infectious agent, but most cases of the disease are associated with herpes simplex viruses - types I and II. After entering the body, the infection remains in it forever and causes clinical manifestations when the general or local immunity is weakened. Timely consultation with a doctor and treatment of herpes can prevent the spread of the infection, reduce its symptoms and improve the patient's life. to optimize a comprehensive approach to the treatment of fixed herpes with the help of the latest generation antiviral drug. All patients underwent a general clinical examination for carriage of herpes virus type 1. At the first visit, a detailed survey was conducted, including the identification of complaints.In the course of observation, it was noted that remission periods of the appearance of elements in the area of fixed areas of the lip mucosa were prolonged in patients who received this treatment regimen. The data of the analysis of immediate and long-term results of the treatment of severe herpes with the introduction of the antiviral effect of the last generation into the treatment regimen of the drug allow to recommend it for clinical use in the practice of periodontologists.
