Abstract

The authors studied morphological changes in the gastric mucosa and the identification of pathogenic strains in 232 patients. The results of the study showed that the intensity of morphological changes in the stomach depends on the nosological forms of H. pylori-associated stomach diseases. All patients underwent gastroscopy with a five-core biopsy of the stomach. Based on the studied material, a morphological study of biopsy specimens was carried out to identify pretumor changes (fibrosis, atrophy, intestinal metaplasia, dysplasia) in patients with pylori-associated gastric diseases. The general interpretation of the results showed the expediency of using the OLGA system, since it is morphological analysis from the point of view of detecting atrophy and intestinal metaplasia that can be the most basic for the formation of the next strategy of therapeutic measures. It is clearly seen that the CagA gene is a risk factor for the development of severe forms of gastrointestinal diseases. From the point of view of diagnostic effectiveness, the CagA gene has been studied as an average indicator for all diseases, which means that this gene can be used as a marker gene in the diagnosis of pathogenic or non-pathogenic H.pylori strain.
