Abstract

The introduction of new technology, equipment, tools and materials leads to the appearance of various kinds of adverse factors affecting the body of workers. Under the influence of intense industrial noise, changes occur not only in the receptor apparatus of the auditory analyzer, but also in the cortical and stem divisions. The aim of the study was to study the correlation between the indicators of audiometry, electroencephalography, registration of long-latent auditory evoked potentials and temporal characteristics of the acoustic reflex of the intra-ear muscles in occupational hearing disorders. The selection of workers in noise professions with professional hearing loss, with disorders of the cortical department of the auditory analyzer and its trunk, only cortical structures, as well as normally hearing persons who did not work in noise conditions was carried out. According to audiometry data, group 1 individuals showed a decrease in the air-bone conduction of tones in the speech frequency range 125-2000 Hz to 40 dB, and in the range 3000-8000 Hz to 70-80 dB. The EEG of the workers of this group showed a predominance of beta rhythm in all leads, both during background recording and under functional loads, which indicated diffuse processes of irrigation in the cortical structures of the brain. In most cases, significant deviations from the norm in the duration of the time characteristics of the ARVM were revealed in individuals of the examined groups, both with ipsi and with contralateral stimulation with tones of 0.5 and 1.0 kHz. The analysis of the data obtained indicates that the protective function of the intra-ear muscles suffers to a certain extent in workers of noise professions with a violation of the cortical and subcortical structures of the auditory analyzer.
