The article presents the results of studies on the features of landscaping of interiors in an arid climate. An assortment of tropical and subtropical evergreen ornamental plants for landscaping has been selected. Brief characteristics of the recommended 8 types of shade-tolerant ornamental plants for landscaping interiors and breeding methods are given.
Several important indicators such as growth rates, leaf shape, flowering and duration, drought resistance, shade resistance, soil moisture content and composition are analyzed in assessing the characteristics of comnadal ornamental plants, and conclusions are drawn from these findings.
