This study identified pathomorphological changes in the choroid plexus and ventricular ependyma, with the severity of alterations depending on the degree of traumatic brain injury (TBI) and the duration of the post-traumatic period. Objective. To analyze the dynamics of morphological changes in the choroid plexus and ventricular system in traumatic brain injuries. Materials and Methods. The study was based on 15 cases of acute TBI, treated and deceased at the Khorezm branch of the Republican Scientific Center of Emergency Medical Care. Clinical records, CT and MRI findings, and pathomorphological examinations were analyzed.Resul ts. Epidural (5.6%), subdural (33%), and intraventricular (31%) hemorrhages were observed. Disruption of ependymal integrity, destruction of the choroidal epithelium, and subependymal edema were noted in varying degrees, depending on injury severity and survival time. Conclusion. Evaluation of morphological changes in the choroid plexus and ventricular system in TBI provides deeper insight into the role of cerebrospinal fluid circulation in TBI pathogenesis and is of significant importance for forensic medical practice and clinical diagnostics.
