THE SPECTRUM OF EXTRAPYRAMIDAL DISORDERS IN POST-STROKE PATIENTS
Keywords:
extrapyramidal disorders, stroke, vascular parkinsonismAbstract
This article presents the results of a study to determine the clinical features of extrapyramidal disorders in patients after cerebral strokes with lesions in and outside the subcortical ganglia and to compare them with hemodynamic and structural changes in the brain. Patients who suffered ischemic or hemorrhagic stroke in different terms were examined. Both hyperkinetic and hypokinetic disorders were revealed. Certain correlations of the clinical picture of extrapyramidal disorders with structural changes in the brain, as well as with the data of cerebral hemodynamics according to the results of ultrasound dopplerography were determined.
