Abstract

The article analyzes the factors leading to hip fractures in the elderly. Hip fractures are common in osteoporosis and are often serious, leading to disability and death. Currently our understanding of hip fractures that occur due to osteoporosis is insufficient. The article analyzes non-osteoporosis factors in femoral neck fractures and compares the indicators depending on the age and gender of the patients. Factors may include falls, the anatomical structure of the proximal femur, the patient's weight, height and other related factors. These factors lead to fractures of the proximal femur, even if they are not associated with systemic osteoporosis.
