A NEW APPROACH IN THE TREATMENT OF PATIENTS WITH CHRONIC VASOMOTOR RHINITIS

ANNOTATION
Vasomotor rhinitis is an initial link in the chain of formation of chronic diseases of the respiratory tract, including such severe ones as bronchial asthma. Currently, the latest advances in physics (cryogenic technology, low-frequency ultrasound, "low-energy", "high-energy" laser radiation) are used in treatment. The purpose of this work was to determine the place of significance of surgical interventions using laser radiation. A clinical analysis of 156 observations of patients with vasomotor rhinitis was carried out. All patients underwent “point” laser exposure: after a month, a significant improvement was observed in 48, an improvement in 63, and there was no effect - in 15. There were 2 variants of exposure: “point” contact coagulation of the anterior ends of the lower and middle turbinates and submucous coagulation was carried out according to the entire length of the turbinate. Submucous laser exposure has been shown to be effective in patients who use long-term vasoconstrictor drops, which have a negative reaction to adrenaline, and in the presence of turbinate hypertrophy.
