CLASSIFICATION OF MECHANICAL INJURIES OF THE ORGAN OF VISION

The purpose. To analyze the most common classifications of mechanical injuries of the organ of vision and identify the rational one for solving the problems of forensic medical examination.
Materials and research methods. The main world scientific and educational literature of recent years on the problem of injuries of the organ of vision has been studied and analyzed. Own research was carried out in the following 2 groups: 1st group - studied and analyzed the data of medical records of a hospital patient in relation to 150 persons, aged from 1 to 74 years, with trauma to the eyeball and its appendages and who were hospitalized in the Samarkand Regional Ophthalmological Hospital of the Republic of Uzbekistan for the period from 2019 to 2021.
Conclusions. To solve forensic problems, the classifications of injuries of the organ of vision, developed by Gundurova R.A., Kashnikov V.V., are more applicable. (2002). At the same time, in addition to these classifications, the nature, localization of damage to the external and internal structures of the eyes, as well as the presence of combined damage to adjacent anatomical structures - the head and zygomatic-orbital zone, should be taken into account. The forensic medical qualification of the severity of the harm caused to health also depends on the complications and long-term outcomes of injuries to the structures of the eyeball and its appendages.
