Abstract

Iron deficiency, iron deficiency conditions and iron deficiency anemia remain a pressing problem worldwide, despite enormous advances in understanding the mechanisms of iron metabolism over the past 20 years. Absorbed and protein-bound iron belongs to the group of prosthetic enzymes, that is, it is a non-protein component covalently bound to a protein and plays a key role in the biological activity of this protein. It has been shown that the amount of the Hif-1a factor, a product of the expression of genes sensitive to hypoxia, in the peripheral blood of rabbits fed under different nutritional conditions and with the addition of iron and zinc preparations has unique dynamics and physiological dynamics. character depending on the type of nutrition, gestational age and stage of fetal development.
