The purpose of the review article is to study the features of the organization and structure of the airways, which play a significant role in the course of various inflammations. The nuclei of the basal layer cells are poorly differentiated elements that divide by mitotic division of nuclei and are the main raw material for tissue regeneration and repair. As a result, the processes of regeneration and reparation here occur very slowly, which leads to chronicity of the inflammatory process.
