Abstract

The results of treatment of 107 patients with postoperative ventral and recurrent hernias who underwent hernia defect plasty and separation prosthesis plasty with restoration of normal topographic anatomy by Onlay and sublay methods were studied. The monitoring results of the repeated intra-abdominal pressure study confirmed the priority of posterior separation hernioplasty in W3-W4 ≥11, while the anterior separation technique could be performed in <11. The algorithm of choosing the method of standard (onlay, sublay) or separation (anterior, posterior) plasty of postoperative ventral hernias W2, W3, W4 is based on the state of muscular-aponeurotic structures of the anterior abdominal wall and the intraoperative intra-abdominal pressure control index.
