EPIDEMIOLOGICAL ASPECTS OF DEVELOPMENTAL DISORDERS IN CHILDREN BORN FROM CONSANGUINEOUS MARRIAGES
Keywords:
consanguineous marriages, inbreeding, epidemiology, diagnostics, family, children, hereditary diseasesAbstract
The article examines the epidemiological aspects of developmental disorders in children born from consanguineous marriages, with an emphasis on genetic risks and the relevance of the problem in Uzbekistan and worldwide. Particular attention is paid to the priority of children’s health as the foundation of the nation’s future. The paper highlights the progress of Uzbek medicine after independence, including the introduction of modern technologies and state programs aimed at early detection of hereditary diseases. Despite certain social and economic advantages of consanguineous unions, such as strengthening family ties and preserving property, they are associated with a significant medical and social burden. The necessity of further research, preventive strategies, and early diagnostic measures to protect the health of future generations is emphasized.
