Синдром Гийена-Барре (СГБ) - очень редкое аутоиммунное заболевание, которое связано с демиелинизацией периферической нервной системы и прогрессирующей мышечной слабостью, возникающей в основном у ранее здоровых людей.
Заболеваемость СГБ составляет 1,1–1,8 случая на 100 000 в год, и заболеваемость увеличивается с возрастом. СГБ клинический спектр неоднороден и включает острую воспалительную демиелинизирующую полинейропатию (ОВДП), острую моторная аксональная нейропатия (ОМАН), острая моторная и сенсорная аксональная нейропатия (ОМИСАН) и Синдром Миллера Фишер (МФС). Заболевание обычно характеризуется быстрым началом симметричной слабости конечностей, которая прогрессирует в течение нескольких дней до 4 недель и встречается у пациентов любого возраста. В развитых странах СГБ стал наиболее частой причиной острого вялого паралича. Несмотря на улучшенное распознавание и лечение, СГБ продолжает оставаться тяжелым заболеванием.
