Semizlik zamonaviy jamiyatning dolzarb tibbiy va ijtimoiy muammolaridan biridir. Ortiqcha tana vaznidan azob chekayotgan odamlarning tez o'sishi ushbu muammoning dolzarbligini belgilaydi. Semirib ketish bir qator mexanizmlar orqali buyrakning progressiv shikastlanishiga olib keladi. Mikroalbuminuriya darajasini baholash bilan semirishda buyrak patologiyasining dastlabki biomarkerlaridan foydalanish semirishda buyrak shikastlanishini tashxislash uchun istiqbolli hisoblanadi. Tadqiqotning maqsadi semirishda buyrak funktsiyasining buzilishi darajasini o'rganish va uning surunkali buyrak kasalligi rivojlanishi uchun xavf omili sifatida ahamiyatini aniqlash edi.
