Adabiyotlarni o'rganish shuni ko'rsatadiki, COVID-19 bilan og'rigan bemorlarda kasallikning og'irligini va o'limga olib keladigan natijalarini belgilovchi asosiy asorat dunyoning barcha mamlakatlarida pnevmoniya bo'lib qolmoqda, uning etiologiyasi virusli-bakterial infektsiya deb hisoblanadi, bunda diffuz alveolyar zararlanish rivojlanish ehtimoli yuqoriligicha qolmoqda, ushbu holat klinik jihatdan o'tkir respirator distress-sindrom (O'RDS) bilan namoyon bo'ladi. Shu bilan birga, koronavirus bilan birga bemorning sog'lig'iga bevosita ta'sir qiladigan bakterial asoratlar asosiy kasallik kechishining og'irlik darajasini kuchaytiradi. Organizmning virusga qarshi immun reaksiyasi uning mavjud bakteriyalarga ko'rsatadigan javobidan farq qiladi, bu esa COVID-19 kechishi og'irligini oshiradi. Tadqiqotlar shuni ko'rsatdiki, COVID-19 eng og'ir shakllarida interstitsial pnevmoniya, o'tkir respirator distress sindromi (O'RDS) va poliorgan yetishmovchiligining rivojlanishiga sabab bo'ladi.
