Bo`lmacha fibrilatsiyasi (BF) juda keng tarqalgan yurak ritmi buzilishi bo'lib, zamonaviy aritmologiyada dolzarb muammo hisoblanadi. So'nggi 20 yil ichida BF bilan kasallanish 13% ga oshdi. BF noxush oqibatlarning ko'pligi bilan bog'liq, ularning asosiylari tromboembolik asoratlar, surunkali yurak etishmovchiligining boshlanishi va boshqa noxush oqibatlardir. Hozirgi vaqtda yurak bo'shliqlarida antikoagulyantlar yordamida qon pıhtılarının paydo bo'lishining sababi aniq ma'lum emas.
