Ridel tireoiditi qalqonsimon bezning yallig‘lanishli kasalliklari orasidagi eng sirli va kam uchraydigan shakllardan biri hisoblanadi. Ushbu nihoyatda nodir holatda bezning normal to‘qimasi zich fibroz to‘qima bilan almashinadi, bu esa og‘ir klinik asoratlarga olib kelishi mumkin. So‘nggi yigirma yil davomida ushbu kasallik haqidagi ilmiy tasavvurlar uning IgG4 bilan bog‘liq tizimli kasalliklar bilan uzviy aloqasi aniqlangach, sezilarli darajada kengaydi. Ushbu sharhda Ridel tireoiditining etiologiyasi, diagnostik yondashuvlari hamda davolash usullari bo‘yicha zamonaviy qarashlar bayon etiladi.
