Abstract

Interstitial lung diseases (ILD) account for 10-15% of all lung diseases. The clinical and epidemiological characteristics of patients with NSIP remain not fully studied. Lung diseases consistently rank 3-4 in mortality not only in world statistics, but also in mortality statistics for Uzbekistan. Purpose of the study: To study the clinical, epidemiological, demographic characteristics of patients with NSIP in the Samarkand region for the period from 2020 to 2023. Materials and methods: We analyzed the medical records of 262 patients with interstitial lung disease who were hospitalized at SamGMO. Based on a multidisciplinary approach, taking into account the criteria of the international classification of diseases (ICD-10), patients diagnosed with NSIP and a comparison group, patients with COVID-19AP, were identified. Results: The total number of patients is 262. The first group is patients with NSIP 190 (72.5%) The second group is patients with COVID-19AP 72 (27.5%) and the control group 20 patients. Depending on the severity, each group was divided into subgroups IA-moderate 125 patients (65.8%), IB-severe 65 patients (34.2%), IIA-moderate 33 patients (45.8%) and IIB-severe 39 patients (54.2%) with NSIP and COVID-19AP, respectively. The study included patients in the age category from 18 to 90 years. Conclusion: Among patients with NSIP, men prevailed 145 (55.3%), 78% of patients were in the older age groups 45-59 (45%) and 60-74 (33%), respectively. 158 patients i.e. 60% are patients with moderate severity of the disease NSIP, in contrast to COVID-19AP, in which the severe course prevailed (40%, respectively).
