THE PARTICIPATION OF TATAR INTELLECTUALS IN THE ORGANIZATION OF THE EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM OF TURKESTAN AND ITS RESULTS

In this article the changes that occurred in the socio-cultural life of the Turkestan region in the late 19th – early 20th centuries against the backdrop of historical conditions, as well as the activities of Tatar intellectuals who directly assisted the local population in these changes were examined. In particular, the participation of Tatar teachers and intellectuals in the creation of new schools in Turkestan and the development of publishing activities in the region is covered in detail.
Tatar teachers who came from Kazan provided invaluable practical and spiritual support in the development of the new-method school system in Turkestan.
