THE ROLE OF DIGITAL COMPETENCE IN THE MODERN EDUCATIONAL ENVIRONMENT IN HIGHER EDUCATION

ABSTRACT

This article deals with the priority areas for the modernization of education in Uzbekistan. The digitalization process is a deep convergence of digital technologies with material and social and humanitarian technologies and practices, including educational ones. Training can be considered effective if it provides the most relevant theoretical knowledge at the moment and, most importantly, allows students to develop practical skills that are most applicable and useful in life and work. The use of these information and telecommunication technologies allows distance education participants to communicate regardless of their location through e-mail, chat, forum, video conference, webinar, webinar. The methodological feature of distance education is that the acquisition of knowledge, skills and abilities provided for by the educational program is carried out not in traditional forms of education, but through the student's independent work using various tools - i.e. information carriers. The basis of the distance learning process is not teaching, but learning, i.e. activity.
