Abstract

Clinical observation and examination of 33 patients with chronic pyelonephritis (CRF) and 40 practically healthy individuals were conducted. Patients with CPN were examined twice. The first group (group I) included patients with an exacerbation of this disease. In the comparison group (III), the same patients were 1.5-3 months after treatment without clinical manifestations of exacerbation of CRF. Laboratory signs of acute renal injury were not detected in all examined patients. The ELISA method determined the concentration of VEGF, MCP-1, IL-8 and IL-18 in urine samples of all examined individuals. The protein spectrum of urine was studied in 6 patients of GY and 6 GY with the help of mass spectrometric analysis using an Agilent 1100 chromatograph. The results of the parallel determination of urine proteins by two methods showed that the exacerbation of CRF develops against the background of local secondary immune insufficiency at the level of the urothelium of the renal tubules.
