Abstract

Juvenile rheumatoid arthritis (JRA) is the most common type of arthritis in children and teenagers. It typically causes pain and inflammation in both small and large joints. Besides, internal organs may also be affected by the systemic onset of juvenile rheumatoid arthritis. One of the reasons for the appearance of JRA symptoms is previously transmitted infectious diseases. Patients rise significantly after COVID-19 infection, especially in early childhood. In this case, a 2-year-old girl was described who had a recurrent fever, swelling of the legs, runny nose and difficulty walking. Physical examination revealed signs of morning stiffness, ankle and knee joints swelling, local fever and pain during palpation. The diagnosis was made based on clinical data and blood test results. Determining morning stiffness, joint swelling and local fever are important diagnostic markers. These indicators help in the early diagnosis and treatment of the disease.
