Bolalardagi enteropatogen (EPIT) va enteroinvaziv escherichioz (EIIT) ning klinik kechuvi, ularning qiyosiy xususiyatlari o'rganildi. Esherichiozning 28 ta enteroinvaziv, 54 ta enteropatogen shtammlari bilan kasallangan 82 ta kasallangan bolalar tekshirildi. EPIT aniqlangan bolalarda sekretor va EIIT ajratib olinganlarda invaziv diareya kuzatildi. EPIT bo'lganlarda intoksikatsiya sindromining yaqqol namoyon bo'lishi qayd etildi. Diareya sindromi, suvsizlanish va deminerilatsiya EPIT bo'lgan bolalar uchun ko'proq xos bo’ldi. Agar EPIT bo'lgan bolalarda gipovolemik shok va o'tkir buyrak yetishmovchiligi kabi asoratlar uchragan bo'lsa, EIKP bo'lgan bolalarda yuqumli-toksik shok, neyrotoksikoz va DVS kabi asoratlar kuzatildi.
