Abstract

This article discusses the translator of Alisher Navoi’s lyrical poetry, Alexander Naumov. He was a remarkable figure who was among the first to introduce Uzbek poetry into Soviet literature. The article provides information about his life and work, as well as how he became acquainted with Uzbek literature. It also examines his translations. It should be noted that he translated masterpieces of Uzbek literature into Russian, and among them a special place is occupied by his translations of the lyrical poetry of Alisher Navoi.
