THE SYMPHONY OF OLD AGE IN THE DIWAN «FAVOYID UL-KIBAR»

This article examines the ideological and artistic features, the rhyme system, and the imagery of Alisher Navoiy’s ghazals on the theme of old age in the collection «Favoyid ul-kibar». The author demonstrates that Navoiy interprets old age not as a biological decline, but as a stage of spiritual maturity and elevation. Through the analysis of specific ghazals, the study systematically highlights the use of such poetic devices as tazad (antithesis), talmih (allusion), tashbih (simile), ishtikaq (etymological wordplay), vasf (description), and tanasub (harmonious imagery). Symbolic images, such as the old grapevine and the transformation of musk into camphor, help to philosophically reveal the profound meaning of human physical decline.
