ALISHER NAVOI’S LOVE FOR THE TURKISH LANGUAGE

This article is devoted to a topical issue, which discusses how the thinker Alisher Navoi’s high respect for the Turkish (Chigatay) language - his mother tongue. In particular, the historical situation of the period in which the poet lived is assessed. It is said that Alisher Navoi defended the Turkish (Chigatay) language at a very difficult time, and his practical actions in this regard are listed. The national language written by Alisher Navoi, the national heroes he created, his remarkable influence on Ottoman Turkish poets, his literary and scientific heritage will be discussed. Alisher Navoi’s great contribution to the development of the Turkish language, Turkish culture, Turkish art and history is also scientifically substantiated in the works, such as: “Muhokamat ul-lug’atayn” and “Mezon ul-avzon”. The article confirms that Alisher Navoi is an enlightened
person after Mahmud Kashgari, who was able to show all the elegance, beauty and potential of the native language in a skillful way.
