This article presents Zaki Validi Dam's thoughts on Navoi. It is dedicated to the youth of Navoi, his teachers and works about him. The political life of the poet and his contribution to the Turkish language are mentioned. There is also information about Navoi's attitude to art and its works. Relations between Navoi and Hussein Baykara are discussed. Navoi is compared with the poets who created the Khamsa. The researcher does not ignore the question of the poet's beliefs. Historians Haidar Mirza, Sultan Muhammad Amri and Mirkhand mention the identity of Navoi. The poet's respect for his teachers is also recognized.
