The article examines hippotherapy as an effective component of complex neurorehabilitation for various neurological disorders. The method is based on the biomechanical and sensorimotor effects of horse movements in a step, which have a stimulating effect on postural control, muscle tone, coordination, and vestibular stability. Special attention is paid to the neurophysiological mechanisms of hippotherapy, including the activation of central walking patterns, proprioceptive stimulation, and improvement of interhemispheric interaction. An analysis of modern randomized clinical trials demonstrating the effectiveness of the method in patients with stroke, cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis, and other central nervous system pathologies is presented. Indications, limitations, and advantages of the method are highlighted. A conclusion was made about the high clinical value of hippotherapy as an interdisciplinary approach within the framework of neural rehabilitation.
