Abstract

The nature of tics is manifested by repetitive involuntary and unexpected movements. These can be motor or vocal attacks; persistent tics are referred to as tic disorders. Most often, tics are typical of the age of adolescence, it is during this period that behavioral and emotional disorders increase. The share of tics in the structure of childhood neurological diseases is almost 20%. The urgency of the problem of tics does not decrease over the years, but grows in connection with urbanization, social level. Accordingly, it is of interest not only for neurologists, but also for pediatricians, endocrinologists, psychologists. A great contribution to the issue of causal structures was made by geneticists (l), studying molecular genetic technology, expanded the understanding of the pathogenesis of the disease.
