Orthopedic treatment of patients with dentition defects is one of the urgent tasks of modern prosthetic dentistry. In the Republic of Uzbekistan, this pathology occupies one of the leading places among orthopedic diseases of the dentoalveolar system, and in recent years there has been a tendency toward an increase in its prevalence.
One of the factors contributing to the development of this pathology is functional overload of the dentoalveolar system. Tooth loss is accompanied by morphological, functional, and aesthetic disturbances. This condition is characterized by a variety of clinical manifestations, differences in prognosis, and features of its course.
The most common orthopedic constructions used for the treatment of patients with dentition defects are fixed dental bridge prostheses. Their widespread use and the introduction into clinical practice of full-cast bridge prostheses with various types of veneering make it possible to effectively perform prosthetic treatment of patients with dentition defects, ensuring high aesthetic and functional outcomes.
