Dentalhealth of employees of machine–building enterprisesis an urgentmedical and socialproblem. As aresult of exposure to metalaerosols,organicsolvents,acidsandalkalis,aswell as physicalfactors of the industrialenvironment, special(specific)forms of dentalpathologydevelop.Thesepathologies are characterized by highprevalence,aggressivecourseandresistancetotraditionaltreatmentmethods. The specificity of dentaldiseasesassociatedwithoccupationalfactorsliesintheirpolyethologicalandmultifactorialnature.Pathologicalchangesin the oralcavity are formedasaresult of directtoxiceffects of factors of production,as well asindirecteffectsthrough a violation of the body's homeostasis, a decrease in adaptivereserves, and a weakening of immunedefenses.
