Mazkur maqolada sovet oriyentalizmining kinodagi mafkuraviy mexanizmlari tahlil qilingan. Tadqiqotda avvalo sovet oriyentalizmining nazariy-paradigmal asoslari hamda uning Sharq xalqlari va madaniyatlarini tasvirlashdagi mafkuraviy xususiyatlari yoritilib, “Kavkaz asirasi” va “Oq sahro quyoshi” kinofilmlari “Alisher Navoiy” badiiy filmining oriyentalistik kontekstdagi tahlilini amalga oshirishda nazariy-metodologik asoslarni kuchaytirish maqsadida ko‘rib chiqilgan. Maqolada “Alisher Navoiy” filmi misolida o‘zbek milliy madaniyati, tarixiy xotira va Sharq reprezentatsiyasining sovet mafkurasi doirasida qanday amalga oshirilganligini yoritishga harakat qilindi.
