LEXICO-SEMANTIC FEATURES OF THE NAMES OF CLOTHING ITEMS IN THE KARAKALPAK LANGUAGE

This article deals with the names of outerwear items as one of the types of material culture of the Karakalpak people that have survived several historical eras and come to this day. The historical and etymological analysis of the names of some types of clothing is carried out, the features of the names and the history of the emergence of the names of ancient types of clothing from a linguistic point of view are considered. The names of clothing items did not appear in the language spontaneously, but developed in accordance with the psychology of thinking and mentality of the people. In the systematization of the vocabulary of clothing items, their semantic analysis plays an important role.In this regard, the article provides an etymological analysis of the vocabulary of clothing from a diachronic point of view.
