THE PROBLEM OF SEPARATION INTO SYLLABLES, WORDS, PHRASES AND PHRASES IN CHINESE

This article presents scientific considerations on the issue of dividing hieroglyphs, syllables, compound words, as well as dividing words into categories in the modern Chinese language. Wang Li, one of the major Chinese linguists, chose the novel "A Dream in the Red Room", a masterpiece written in Baihua language in the middle ages, as the main source for detailed comments and arguments on this issue. In this article, we will discuss how syllables, words, and compound words differ in Chinese, and the principles of their differentiation. Opinions are presented on the issue of categorization of lexical units.
