REPRESENTATION OF THE CONCEPTS “LITERATURE” AND “MUSIC” IN HARUKI MURAKAMI’S NOVEL NAMED “KAFKA ON THE BEACH”

This article analyzes the representation of the concepts “literature and music”, both significant for the linguistic consciousness of the writer, and for the creation of full-fledged images of Kafka Tamura and Oshima. The possibility of using the “character concept” as a basic characteristic of the hero is substantiated. The multifunctionality of the ethnic concepts “library” and “mountain hut” is pointed out. Haruki Murakami’s aesthetic preference is a broad understanding of art: music of different genres, individual choice of performers, world-class literature.
