Ushbu maqola mavhum tushunchalarni tushunish uchun kognitiv yordam sifatida metaforalardan foydalanishga qaratilgan va kontseptual metafora nazariyasi (CMT) ning asosiy g'oyalarini o'rganadi. U metaforaning aqliy jarayonlarga ta'sir qilish usullarini o'rganadi, tilni tushuntirishni osonlashtiradi va oddiy va ilmiy nutqda ma'no yaratishga yordam beradi.
