PROTECTING THE HEALTH OF CHILDREN BORN FROM HIV-INFECTED MOTHERS
Keywords:
HIV infection, PCR, ELISAAbstract
Over the past few years, not only in Uzbekistan, but also in countries around the world, HIV infection has occupied one of the leading places among socially determined diseases. The incidence of HIV among the population continues to rise. The evolution of the disease is reflected in the increasing number of women infected with HIV, who account for every third HIV case. About 90 percent of women infected with HIV are of childbearing age, which creates the problem of mother-to-child transmission of HIV infection during pregnancy and childbirth.
