So’nggi bir necha yil ichida nafaqat O’zbekistonda balki butun dunyo mamlakatlarida OIV infeksiyasi ijtimoiy jihatdan aniqlangan kasalliklar orasida yetakchi o’rinlardan birini egallaydi. Aholi orasida OIV infeksiyasi tarqalish darajasi o’sishda davom etmoqda. Kasallikning evolyutsiyasi OIV bilan kasallangan ayollar sonining ko’payishi bilan namoyon bo’ladi, ular OIVning har uchinchi holatini tashkil qiladi. OIV bilan kasallangan ayollarning qariyib 90 foizi tug’ish yoshida bo’lib, bu homiladorlik va tug’ish paytida onadan bolaga OIV infeksiyasining tarqalishi muammosini keltirib chiqaradi.
