Particular attention is paid to the development of medicine and medical law in Uzbekistan, from antiquity, including the contribution of great scientists such as Avicenna, to modern reforms in healthcare. Key stages and events that influenced the formation and development of these disciplines are analyzed. Changes in the legal regulation of medical practice and the protection of patients' rights, especially in the context of independent Uzbekistan, are also considered.
