THE HISTORY OF LIGHT INDUSTRY IN THE FERGANA REGION (1920-1940)

The article provides a history of the reforms that took place in the Fergana region during the Soviet rule from 1920 to 1940, focusing on the nationalization of light industry enterprises, their unification into cooperatives and syndicates, and the closure of small-scale, workshop-based enterprises. It highlights technical shortcomings in the production activities within the light industry, issues related to the fulfillment of the designated five-year plans, and other related problems. The article also discusses matters such as the production of low-quality products in light industry enterprises and the measures taken to address these issues.
