SPECIALIZATION OF AGRICULTURE IN UZBEKISTAN DURING THE 1960S-1980S (A CASE STUDY OF SURKHANDARYA AND KASHKADARYA REGIONS)

This article explores the specialization of Uzbekistan’s agriculture during the 1960s-1980s, focusing on the Surkhandarya and Kashkadarya regions. It analyzes the development of cotton growing, horticulture, and animal husbandry, as well as the establishment of collective and state farms, labor resources, and economic efficiency. Using archival data and statistical reports, the study reveals the main stages of agricultural specialization and regional differentiation in the southern regions of Uzbekistan.References
