REFLECTION OF THE HEALTH CARE SYSTEM OF THE UZBEK SSR IN THE APPEALS OF THE POPULATION IN 1985-1991

Abstract

This article examines about a thousand letters of citizens of the Uzbek SSR which sent to the newspapers of the republic in 1985-1991. The main part of the letters of the population, i.e. the results of 650 reflects the activity of the health care system, poor health services, difficult conditions in hospitals, problems in providing the population with medicines. In the process of studying the letters, special attention was paid to covering such issues as their distribution on the territory of the Uzbek SSR, the reasons for the population's dissatisfaction with the medical service, the protection of mother and child health, the activities of medical institutions and the level of their provision with medical equipment, the provision of medicines and their territorial distribution, ethics and morality.
