This article is devoted to the trade and economic relations of the Turkestan Territory with Russia in the late 19th - early 20th centuries, namely the tea trade. As you know, tea was one of the main food products of the population of Central Asia. Tea came mainly from China and India, the centers of the tea trade were the cities of Samarkand and Kokand, where in large tea companies tea was packaged and sent to the entire Turkestan region.
