IMPACT OF SOCIO-ECONOMIC PROBLEMS IN EGYPT ON THE SPREAD OF RELIGIOUS EXTREMISM AND RADICALISM

The article highlights the main socio-economic problems that lead to tension in society, the intensification of the activities of opposition, especially extremist movements, the expansion of the audience of radical youth on the example of the Arab Republic of Egypt. This study highlights how socioeconomic problems in Egypt in the late twentieth and early twenty-first centuries led to tensions between the Islamic opposition and the government, as well as how young people who could not clearly define their place and status in society were exposed to religious extremist organizations, as a result, they carried out armed actions against the existing regime. The causes and consequences of socio-economic problems in Egypt are analyzed.
