STUDY OF THE MATERIAL CULTURE OF MEDIEVAL HOUSEHOLDS ON THE BASIS OF THE AXSIKENT MONUMENT

This article (or thesis) examines the history and current state of research on medieval domestic economy and material culture based on the remains of the Axsikent archaeological site, one of the largest urban centers in the Fergana Valley. The study analyzes residential architecture, room layouts, heating systems (tashnav, sandals), and economic pits discovered during archaeological excavations, as well as pottery, glassware, and blacksmithing products. Furthermore, based on historical sources and scientific literature, the role of these findings in the daily life, socio-economic relations, and handicraft development of the population of Axsikent is highlighted.
